The girls always seem to have so much stuff, so it is really hard to figure out what to get the girls for their birthdays. My mom is really good about trying to come up with gifts that mean something, and that they will hopefully be able to hold onto for some time. So at some point in time each of the girls has received a jewelry box from their Nanny. This is one of the old fashion type that plays music as the little ballerina spins around!!
I decided to do this blog so family and friends can be up to date on our goings on, to create a scrapbook of my photography, and hopefully capture some fun memories along the way. I hope you have fun following along...

One Of My Favorites...
So I know that this Project 52 is probably a little boring for some of you, but I am actually learning quite a lot as each week goes by. This week with the help of a friend I learned how to apply a textured background to my photographs.
Just had to share this one with everyone!! We were just hanging out in the basement messing around with a boa, (what girl doesn't love a boa?) and got this shot of Miss M, I think that this has to be my favorite picture of her at this time, I just love the way the light falls on her face, and the softness of the feathers...
Project 52 Week 7 - Open Your Heart
So thinking back to week 7, I had a hard time coming up with an idea for the theme "open your heart". Miss M saved the day when she returned home from school with hands full of candies from a Valentines Day party. We found one chocolate heart and managed to grab this shot.

Project 52 Week 9 - Express Yourself
Backtracking a little to Week 9...
Miss A loves lipgloss and not just any kind of lipgloss, only the expensive kind, Chanel, Mac anything from a department store but not from your local Target. So when the theme for "Express Yourself" came around I thought it would be easy peesey, I would simply take a photo expressing her love for lipgloss. Miss A on the other hand had a different idea, even when I broke out my expensive lipgloss she was not impressed, and buying her off with peanut butter m&m's was not going to work. We managed to get one shot that I thought expressed herself...
Back to the whole peanut butter thing. There is one member of the family that will do anything for peanut butter. Miss Charlie, the minute the lid comes off the peanut butter jar she is right there by your side willing to do anything you wish, and usually sporting some drool.

Project 52 Week 11 - Darks and Lights...
Since I really like to work with natural lighting, the weather plays a big part with my pictures, the weather this week did not seem to want to cooperate. It has been warmer the last few days which is a nice change, but rather windy. Regardless of the uncooperative wind and sun, this weeks project helped me get what I think is an innocent picture of Miss M!
We just recently had my mom out from England, and whenever she comes she likes to treat the girls to a couple of outfits from one of my favorite stores in England... "NEXT" Madi is wearing one of the outfits in this picture, so if you are ever looking for an outfit that is a little different for your kids or yourself, be sure to check out my favorite store. They also just started shipping to the USA... yeah!!
